Putting Artwork in Your Gallery

Some people find the prospect of uploading artwork to their gallery as daunting. You can easily add products to your gallery by following the simple steps below. Remember to save your productwhenever you complete a step or edit information or else changes will be lost.

Step 1. – Click Vendor Dashboard

Step 2. – Select ‘Products’

Step 3. – Click ‘Add New Product’

Step 4. – Give yourArtwork a title.

Step 5. – Set the price

Step 6. – Upload your main image

Step 7. – Upload more images (maybe of features, looking at the piece from different angles or details you want the collector to see).

Step 8. – Select the appropriate category for your artwork.

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TAGS AT THIS STAGE

Step 9. – Add a SHORT description.

Step 10. – Click ‘Create Product’

Step 11. – Your artwork should now be saved and you can proceed to ‘edit’ it. Hover your mouse over the product in the Products page and Click ‘edit’.

Step 12. – Add a detailed description. This is your sales pitch, so give your description everyting it needs to make a collector want to buy it. Yes it needs all the pertinent information, but make sure it is not boring.

Step 13. – If this artwork is ‘one off’ and cannot be repeated, then you need to check the box “Enable product stock management’. If there is only one piece, enter the number one in the ‘stock quantity’ field too.

Note: Of course, you can allow ‘back orders’ which is like a commission when you do not have the piece in stock. You can do this by clicking the ‘Allow Backorders’ dropdown.

Step 14. – Shipping

By now you have configered your shipping options as outlined in ‘How to Configure and Use Shipping’

You can now detail the weight, length, width and height for your artwork and allocate shipping classes.

Step 15. – Linked Products

This section allows your product page to also display other products you have listed which might also be interesting to your collectors.

Add Upsells (products which you recomend which might be make you more money) and Cross-sells (products you want to promote in that they are similar to the current product the collector is viewing).

Step 16. – Adding Attributes

Click ‘ Custom Attribute’, then click ‘1. Artwork’

Click ‘Add Attribute’

Select the Attributes which best reflect your artwork.

Now your ‘Artwork type’ has been added, click ‘Custom Attribute’ again

This time select ‘2. Medium’ and then click ‘Custom Attribute to select the medium your artwork has been created in.

Continue to reapeat these steps covering all the different options relevant to your artwork until you have completes all attributes.

HINT: If your artworks are similar in nature, you can duplicate your products which have attributes completed and only edit the basic details of title, price, picture and tags to save you time.

Step 17. – Save Product
